Since its inauguration on April 1st, 2001, the Foguang published Merit Times newspaper has featured a daily column by Master Hsing Yun. The first of these ongoing columns, running from 2001 until 2005, was Between Ignorance and Enlightenment. Each column considers different topics related to culture, politics, and literature, as well as the common experiences of everyday life, to show the possibility to learn and grow in any situation.
