The chirping of birds cutting through the forest,
Sitting through the night, wrapped in my coat;
While poking fire, I awaken to life,
Exhausting all energy, I refer to Master Pozaoduo.
Matters are clear, only people themselves confused,
Who is able to sing a chorus to a tune that is too soft?
Be mindful of this and never forget it,
The door is open, but only few do pass through it.
A bronze duck incense burner and
splendidly embroidered bed curtains;
Emerging from the jungles of song and music
all drunken and support needed;
Such episodes of indulgent romance in youth
are only for the ears of that fair lady herself.
The croak of a frog in the Spring moonlight
Shatters heaven and earth all into one.
By whom is such a moment understood?
At the peak is Master Xuansha with his painful foot.

A cup smashes into the ground, The sound so sharp and distinct. As emptiness becomes shattered, The unrestrained mind instantly calms.

Do not use only what you know
to feel everything around you;
be like the universe
to accept all things.

Venerable Master Hsing Yun grants voices to the objects of daily monastic life to tell their stories in this collection of first-person narratives.

The Medicine Buddha SutraMedicine Buddha, the Buddha of healing in Chinese Buddhism, is believed to cure all suffering (both physical and mental) of sentient beings.
